On 29th Oct. 2001, UNFCCC COP7 was held in Marrakech, Morocco. The conference has finally approved Marrakech Accords in mitigating global warming. Marrakech Accords is a milestone in international climate change negotiation; it has set forth CDM rules and set up CDM Executive Board (EB) to take charge in developing detailed operations. Till 2011, Marrakech Accords and CDM EB have undergone 10 years. The 10 years for CDM is one significant for global efforts in coping with climate change, and the jointly contribution from developed and developing countries in participating GHG emission reduction actions. Till the end of April 2011, the global issuance of CO2e is 605 million tones, which is the lion share of current emission reduction scheme; meanwhile, China plays indispensible role in CDM, who has the World no.1 in numbers of registered projects as well as issuance of CERs that is 55% of the global total.
