The workshop for membership of Global-China Low Carbon Development Analysis was hold

 

The first tailored workshop “The War of Durban, The Future of Carbon Market” for membership of Global-China Low Carbon Development Analysis issued by SCII was kicked off in Beijing. The United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP17) is now warming up and will be officially launched from 28th Nov to 7th Dec in Durban, South Africa. Durban 2011 is like a war taking place in long negotiation stalemate for Bali road map and Kyoto Protocol, and in some ways, the conference result will determine the further development of international climate change regulation. To help members better understand Durban conference ,Ms Liting, the senior policy consultant of Policy Research Center in Tsinghua University, and Mr. Zhang Haibin, the professor and doctoral supervisor in School of International Studies, Peking University are invited to attend the workshop. They shared brilliant and insightful views on Durban conference with all members including how to observe the conference, what’s the key of conference, what progress will be possibly gained and what are the effects the conference result will lead to carbon market, etc.
